Wordsmith Creative Copywriting

Why should I use a copywriter?

The words you use can create a powerful image. The right words describe your offerings in unique and creative ways, distinguish you from your competition, and motivate people to do business with you. The wrong words can cost you sales. A professional copywriter blends creativity with correctness, and polish with pizzazz.

Aren’t all writers the same?

Marketing copywriters color outside of the lines. Technical writers don’t own crayons. For effective marketing copy, hire a writer who creates vivid images with colorful words.

Why should I hire a freelance writer?

Bunny slippers. They’re cheaper than an office building. Lower overhead means lower rates.

Why use Wordsmith?

I’m a word wonk. It’s my passion. Worse, I’m a word nerd. Whether you need original copy or a rewrite of existing text, I’ll obsess over your project. I’ll commit my creativity, energy and resources toward creating dynamic copy -- copy that will work wonders for you.

How can I tell if you do quality work?

Read what others say about Wordsmith; it’s on the Clients Tell page. And I’m not related to any of them.

Check out the Tips and Clips pages. The Tips reflect the principles and techniques used in Wordsmith copywriting. The Clips present before-and-after writing samples, so that you can see what a difference just a few words can make. The right words.

Visit the Wordsmith Works page for examples of my work. You’ll see a variety of projects and writing styles suited to the intended audience. Additional examples are available upon your request.

What do you charge?

All words are Free! But assembly is not included.

I offer hourly and project rates, plus a few perks at no charge:

  • Initial Consultation: Cup of coffee.
  • Writing: $35 - $50 per hour, depending on the project.
  • Minor revisions: Free.
  • Project Rates: Available and negotiable. This may be
a more cost-effective solution than an hourly rate.
  • Marketing Consultation: $35 - $50 per hour, depending on the project.
  • Suggestions and Advice (unsolicited): Free.

How do we get started?

Simple. Give me a call. Send me a fax. Email me a message. Tell me about your project. I’ll let you know what I can do for you. I’ll likely suggest ways in which you can improve your materials and how you can use them for maximum effect. No risk; no obligation. If you like what you hear, I’ll be happy to create the perfect copy for your marketing needs.

What if I’m not satisfied with your work?

Okay, let’s pretend. I won’t charge you. And I’ll redo it.

How can I learn more?

Just ask. Send me an email message anytime, or call anytime during normal waking hours. I’d like to have a word with you!
